Elliott's Newborn Pictures

Grandma Vera and Mommy attempted to take some newborn shots of me! They worked REALLY hard and decided they are not cut out to be photographers but they did manage to get some pretty cute shots of me!

*You will see what I like to call "my little wolverine" in these pictures. He has still not yet lost all of the Lanugo, the protective hair coating him that protected his skin in the amniotic fluid, since birth! Its cute!*

**These shoes were given to me from my Grandma Laurel before I was born. She gave them to mommy as a mother's day present the mothers day during Mommy and Daddy's engagement. They are very special to me. I can't wait until they fit!**

Go Vikings! (The day after these were taken, they won? Coincidence? Lucky Charm? ;)

Elliott is 2 weeks old!

Hello Everyone!

Our little peanut is 2 weeks old today! WOW! Time has flown by for sure. I am already loathing the fact that I will eventually have to return to work and not hang out with my little man all day. Everything has been going well with baby...He put back on weight after dropping under 4 lbs...and is eating well. We are supplementing with formula now in addition to breastmilk and he is doing superb! Baby is becoming more and more alert each day and Evan and I are starting to recognize little personality traits here and there. He loves having his hands in his face and hates having them swaddled...He loves laying on your chest in fetal position listening to your heartbeat :)

Overall, baby is awesome!

Here are some pictures of Elliott meeting some of the Horton side of the family the weekend after his birth! Also- some Elliott pictures from Mom's phone (is it bad that my phone went from 100+ pictures to 800+ pictures in 2 weeks? Wow. Mom of a newborn right here!!!

Birth Pictures-Hospital

Here is Mommy getting ready! Epidural is in and she is comfortable!

Mommy is getting ready to push! Daddy is right there being the best coach ever! They put oxygen on Mommy so she wouldn't get lightheaded.

Elliott Norman Horton is BORN!
5 lbs. 6.4 oz. 19 inches long
9-26-11
3:48 p.m.
(Side note...I was too stunned seeing my baby boy in my arms to notice but Evan told me a week after Elliott was born that I was getting peed on this whole time and sure enough, if you look closely in this picture...he is peeing! Haha!)

Here I am, warming up in the warmer! Mommy and Daddy just heard me cry for the first time when I went under the warm lights!

Here I am, getting weighed! I weighed 5 lbs. 6.4 oz. at birth. When I left the hospital I had dropped to 5 lbs.

Here I am with my "Baby Catcher". She is putting all of my bands on which make sure that when Mommy and Daddy come get me, they get me and not someone else's baby!

 Look at that pout!!!

Daddy checking me out in the warmer...

Mommy getting to hold me for the 2nd time. She said her tears are happy tears! Daddy is VERY happy!

Our 1st family portrait!

Daddy holding me for the first time...Mommy is in the background balling because she is so happy to see me! Happy tears!

Mommy and Me

Hi Daddy!

Daddy and Me! (I am not upset, I stopped crying right after I was put in Daddy's arms!)

Cozy :)

Me getting my first bath!

Hanging with Mommy. I love my HALO Sleep Sack!

Meeting Papa Tim for the first time just minutes after I was born!

Meeting Nana V for the first time!

My very proud Grandparents! My Nana V was able to see her first birth...and Papa Tim was able to hold me minutes after I was born. Both firsts!

Listening to Daddy tell me the ways of the world.

Nana V and Papa Tim outfitted me all out in Sioux gear. This beanie hat is the only thing that fits right now. GO SIOUX!!
